I got my deep fryer out for the perch I caught today and did 2 pork chops and a chicken breast too. Since Brandi went fishing with me, I shared some perch with her. She wants to go again! I sauted the walleye and perch I caught on Thursday in olive oil, butter and lemon pepper. It's rewarding to catch your dinner! Brandi is flat wore out tonight!! It was a great day.

Hey Gary,

Don't know ya but you ever substitute fresh fried perch filets for bacon or sausage in the morning with eggs. One of my friends introduced me to this idea years ago and breakfast has never been the same. My grandkids will even gobble up those tasty filets.

Beautiful Lab. Love those dogs they are the best companions and fishing buddies when no one else is available to go. I had one who sat in the back of the boat, when trolling, and would bark when we hooked up a fish. Handy when I was running the boat myself.

Great pics, thanks for sharing.

I caught blowfish in the OC surf an we had them for breakfast with eggs in 1965. Since then I have had perch and perch roe for breakfast many times. My lab is 11 weeks old and is a pain in the ass right now. Hopefully I can get through this stage without killing her!! LOL.........Gary

I used to grill beef leg bones for Katie. I think she'd have chewed the house off at the foundaion if I hadn't. I'd throw them out there and punch the marrow out, too much fat. It would keep her busy for days.
