Despite the forecast we left out of Round Bay and dropped our lines in by 7:30 just west of Thomas Point. Trolled southerly along the channel edge toward BP and at 8:30 the far planer line started to scream. About 15 minutes later, we landed this beautiful 43", 41lb. rock...it was too big for the net! Caught on a white umbrella with a 10oz in-line. And the best part...she was totally spawned out. Not an egg to be found.
