Went out of Ocean City for a few hours yesterday before dark... Not many birds like Sunday but the fish were on bottom and were feeding and schooled tight. Caught about 30 between 26-34 inches all on 3 oz Stingsilvers, trollers were getting them better, till we found the mother load about an hour before dark, just about 2 miles off the beach out in front of the fishing pier. It was still and calm as it got dark and a pod of whales moved closer to the boat than I ever remember them being. Snagged the biggest Menhaden I've ever seen most were well over 10 inches and thick...surprised the rock were not monsters... think every one out there probably got there limit ...all fish, whales and boats were well inside the EZ :yes:

Carl , we were out on Sunday and in just about the same location, marked huge piles of bait . Tried jigging for a while but no bites . We were headed out for tog anyway . We just couldn't resist trying for a few minutes . We got one rock on the troll just before we headed for the dock . Tog fishing was decent but not great .

We just couldn't resist trying for a few minutes . We got one rock on the troll just before we headed for the dock . Tog fishing was decent but not great .

The bite was red hot up by the condos on 93rd street on Sunday, they were on top with gannets everywhere. Yesterday they were in 28ft and right on bottom, hard to pull off bottom. The trollers were killing us, until we drifted over the spot then the screen lit up, and then it was non stop action. Hope the weather calms down on Saturday...I'll be out if it does

Nice catch... that's about the size of the fish we have been getting the last few weeks... the bait size is HUGE, most of the menhaden we've snagged have been a foot long....you'd think there'd be some bigger fish in the mix?
