I know a lot of TFers are also hunters - saw this and wanted to pass it along.

On Nov. 16 at 10 a.m., officers from the Charles County Sheriff's Office responded to the area of Billingsley Road near Dutton's Bridge in Bryans Road for the report of a theft.
The victim stated he was hunting when a man wearing camouflage clothing, a bright orange hat, and carrying a rifle -which was draped across his chest - approached him. The suspect told the victim to drop his gun and move away from it; the victim complied. The suspect stated he was with Department of Natural Resources police (DNR), showed some type of identification card, and told the victim he was illegally hunting on a "protected watershed." The suspect then told the victim he was confiscating the gun. The suspect left and the victim notified police. Officers canvassed the area and contacted DNR who advised there were no officers in that area of the county that day.
The suspect is described as a black male, 6'3", 250 lbs., with a dark complexion and a goatee.
There have been no similar reports.
Officer K. Barry is investigating
