New to the area and coming out of Colton Point. What kind of fishing do we have available to us and at what times of the year? Is the striper season decent in that portion if the river in the Spring? Typical spring set up? Is the fishing better towards the mouth? Flounder?

Any insight and advice is greatly appreciated

Cornfield harbor is down river on the md side right inside point lookout. One thing that will help you is to purchase the adc map for the bay and potomac it is a wealth of information for fishing spots. I grew up around st clements and have fished the river all my life,I will send you a pm with some tips.

Have been fishing St. Clements area for years. Rockfish on the Potomac side in the deeper water from the Island and down river.
Croaker, Spot and Perch are all over when it warms up a bit. Fishing on the inside dock at St. Clements Island can produce some
large perch & Rock on a tide change. Short run to Ragged Point or Nomini Bay for more great fishing. Or up river to Cobb Island
and the Wicomico River. Even huge Catfish can be caught in this area!!
Fishing two hours before a tide change always works best for me.
