Met with the owner of Happy Harbor this morning and she has agreed to open the restaurant at 6:00 am next Saturday morning so the Tidalfishers could gather, mingle and eat before the show opening at 7:30. We couldn't decide on any one special that would suit everybody so she agreed to take 10% off of everybody's meal check. Order anything you would like from the Waterman's Breakfast (which is fried flounder and eggs), pork chops and eggs, blueberry pancakes to fresh fruit and grits and 10% will be deducted.

The password is TIDALFISH to get the discount.

She also agreed to serving:

For the manly trolling fishermen Bloody Mary's for $1.99 and for the

LTJ, fly fishermen you can get Mimosas for $1.99.

Someone should elect you "Mayor of Deale". You were able to negotiate a good "non-partisan" agreement with the Happy Harbor in a very short period of time. Your breakfast "Bill of Fare" was fairly clean, although it did contain a little pork (chop, bacon, sausage). Perhaps we'll send you right to Washington. Senator Morgan?

For those who cannot make it to the Happy Harbor, there will be plenty of breakfast sandwiches, hot dogs and more available at the Flea Market. I look forward to seeing everyone there.

I didn't realize such a transformation has occurred at the Happy Harbor Restaurant. I'll have to make it a point to stick my head in there for lunch sometime soon. The memorial plaque recognizing the captains and their boats is a nice idea. I'm glad that decision was made.

The weatherman looks like he'll be kind to us this weekend. THe forecast is calling for temps Saturday & Sunday in the low 50's. That'll get everyone's mind looking ahead to the fishing season. Hopefully that will bring all of the Tidalfish bretheran out to the Tri-State Flea Market. If you want to say hello and don't see me milling about inside, look for me in the Red Tent outside. I'll be the "good looking bald guy" giving all of the boats away.
