Departed Messick boat ramp in Poquoson around 1300hrs, went straight to
third, tried toggin w/ frozen hard crab with no luck. Saw some birds working
ocean side of curve and managed to catch 6 schoolies on 5" storms. The
bait was pretty thick. I then casted around the rocks at the third with no luck
but I did see others like chumlord hooking up. Back at messick 1700 hrs.

Wes, What I did not say in my post was that I went to work at 0330hrs and left a little early at 1200hrs. Went fishing. Back home
and cleaned up by 1830, had a trouble call at 2030 and got back home at 2230. Being self employed is great, I can sometimes
be flexible but I still average 55-60 hrs a week. My brother is my partner and he does the same. January and February is my
slowest time of year so watch out ocean rocks!

Good seeing you out there as well Brian. I called you on the radio as I left the crowd at the third island headed for the fourth. Birds were going off on the spine and I bailed em til a little after dark. Nothing over 24 inches but contant pullage is great on light tackle. Told you to follow me but I guess you had other plans. I launched at willoughby and it took me over an hour to get back with the wind picking up to 20kts.

beancounter, sorry I did not here you, I left at about 1630. I wanted to get back before dark, I felt the wind
pick up when I was almost back to Poquoson at 1700. Glad I left when I did. The slow trip back is always
worth it after you have caught some fish, glad you caught some.
