Hey all

First time poster here. I have long enjoyed fishing and love to get at it a lot, but I'm the first to admit I don't actually know a lot about it. This year I've gone the extra mile to start paying attention and learn all that I can and build from there.

I'm heading out this Saturday and looking to try my hand on (i) light tackle for rockfish and (ii) bottom fishing for perch and whatever else will pay attention to me. I'm coming out of the upper Chester River from above the Corsica River. I think I've got a bead on how/where I need to test my luck for the rockfish, but can anyone recommend depths, gear, and methods for me to try out with the perch? All the input is appreciated.

Thanks!

any lump off from the corsica south will have WP on it. bloodworms, grass shrimp or even jigging small stingsilvers is the ticket. for more fun, buy an ultralight and throw beetlespins at docks and fallen trees at high tide in the chester tribs.
