Went down to un-winterize and bring back to town my little cc. I usually fish for shad and upper Rapp rockfish each spring here in F-burg.

I was almost home and went over a rail road track crossing too fast. Even though the hitch was locked down the trailer jumped off the ball. The chains caught the trailer and i slowed to a stop. I always carry a small bottle jack and was able to get it back on in a couple minutes.

be careful and drive slower than me over rail crossings

Your hich shouldn't separate like that. Happened to me one time- scared the hell out of me. Found out the hitch was a 2" but the ball was a 1 7/8". Also, there is an adjustment nut under the hitch. Use it to snug everything up but not too tight.

Also a good idea if your chains are long enough to x or cross them. If the trailer should come loose :eek2: the chains will act as a basket and catch it before it hits the road..........:clapping2:
