g-person, paul skipperwork, and meseff at stingrays at 6aw friday morning. launched at the closer ramp by 7, and/feeshing at the fourth by 8am. beautifuk seas all dat, just a little on the chipper side.
had probably the second best day i've ever had down there. we caught good sized trayt all, with our biggest at 36 inches. but...many, masny over 30.
and thgis was the steadiest bite i've ever seen down there. they never stopped , regasdless of toide or current. found a second motherlode, around noon, and it is indescribable of how fantastic the feeshing was here.
saw one feesh and cattails in johns cool cat, and they were pounding them also.`
only 4 boats out at tunnel all day long
g-person gotta be the best jig feesherman i've ever had the pleasure of feeshing with, with paul a dam close secopnd. me'''usual stuff, catch to each of their ten or twenty.
we estimate that we caught 250 to 300 feesh for the day, and thnat hain't no exaggeration!
fabulous, fabulous start to my new feesahinglife.didn't need g-persons' super sharp eyes today, as there waren't a chicken to be seen all day.\nirvan cioty down there....!!!ultrts day at cbbt friday

Great to hear, Butch! What a pleasure to have all those fish to yourself without fighting the usual "traffic jams" of December :))

Excellent way to get the year started... hope it continues that way for you!

Butch you forget to mention that we must of set some kind of record for the most rodoe'ed fish. I'm telling ya guys anyone can catch a fish on a jig but it takes a real pro to tail wrap, snag in the butt, and fin drag them in but those two are masters.

Good fishing with you guys and thanks for the call.
Glad that Butch's 1st trip out was a good one.

By the way, how far out is cape henry buoy?? not quite sure where that is, but prob not too far.
Look at the va board rpt about the afternoon bite out there. Sounds like a mad house of birds/fish/boats in the afternoon. bigger fish, but tough to leave what we had, even if we knew about it.
