You may want to post where you are in MD for who can do the rocket launchers for you. I had mine done at the factory and it is nice work. There are others here who have recommended other fabricators on this site. One of which is in Southern maryland if you are there.

I have a tilted element transducer. While I love it in the sense that I never lose bottom, it is flush with the bottom (no worry of hitting something like a regular thru hull), and it still has water temp, it lacks a paddle wheel for speed through water while trolling. I had a transom mount on my 25 Maycraft and it worked just as well and had the paddle wheel. I did have to swap it out once because it failed and I was able to do myself easily. If a thru hull fails it is a lot more work to replace. My transom mount rarely ever lost bottom even at speed as it was positioned correctly. A transom mount would be an easier install but you have to make sure that you seal the holes and screws well especially with the wood coring of the Maycraft. Good luck

Southern MD, Saint Inigoes, just North of Point Lookout. I found some online that I can order and bolt on, wondering if anyone in Southern MD could custom install some.

I have a transom mounted 'ducer, and have always used them on prior boats. Just curious if a thru hull performed any better as far as details, arches etc. No intention on drilling a hole thru my boat if not necessary. Transom mount is working fine. Thanks.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. If what you have works for you and does what you want, you're good to go.
