These guys did an offshore tourney in August called The Bluewater Classic. It was small, about 30 boats if I remember correctly (and it's quite possible I don't). I fished it and had a great time. Didn't win anything, but met a lot of great folks. Food was awesome and so were the tee shirts. The down side was that Sunday morning hangover. But I'll be back next year for certain.

Probably a stupid question, but about the 2 out of 3 days...do you have to declare which 2 days you're fishing or can you go out all three days (even though friday looks pretty nasty right now) and just submit fish if successful???

Spotking is spot on. There's a lay day form you have to fill out and deliver to Tournament Headquarters by lines in time of your lay day. If you haven't turned in a lay day form by lines in, you are considered to be fishing that day. Any fish you weigh on the third day would not be counted toward your score. The lay day forms are part of the Captain's package distributed at the Captain's Meeting on Thursday.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm fishing on my cousins boat and he has all the paper work. He had mentioned picking the days we fished but my instinct of the rules was that we just weighed in what we thought was a good day. Makes sense on registering your fishing days. Guess we'll play the waiting game with the forecast and pick the days later this week. Wish we were in a bigger boat so we could pick the day with less pressure. The 23' Pursuit can handle some stuff but we'll see how it looks I guess.

I also fished their Blue Water Classic the last two years. They put on a great tournament. I couldnt believe the give aways for that tournament.. Guy harvey signed artwork, Rector watches, Get reel lures, big raffles and 50/50. These tournaments are fun without the hassles and BS.
