Left Rudee Inlet Around 0800 to some nice 3-5 footers and went south.
Found some nice bait and scattered birds starting at Dam Neck. Trolled
a green stretch imitator and a 28oz green mojo trailing a tomic. Caught
a fat 36" on the stretch at 0900. Had two more knockdowns on the three
way over the next hour, then finally got a nice 40" at 1030 on the mojo.
I only saw one other boat there all morning, even though it was not hot
it was nice to have it all to myself for a change. My guess is the rest of
boats were at Cape Henry. Back at Owls Creek at 1130.

Thanks for the tip this AM. I got a late start but got my 2 for the box too. I kept on debating wether(or weather)or not to go out with the winds. Finally make a last minute decision to go for it. After you went in it calmed down as the day went on. Ran back from the Ramada at 4:30PM at 40+knots. Fun day but not hot and heavy like you said. Martin
