Heading out of Hampton around 8 am with a good friend. Plans are to hit the ocean front first and start around 4A or Cape Henry and decide north or south. If we don't have any joy, we plan to work the CBBT for come C & R on lite tackle. Anybody else and anyone got think north or south on the ocean front is a better idea?

HOpe you get into them, this years rockfish season has been a Wash for me. To much working but in this economy I am not complaining. Hope to get out on the water soon though. :thumbup:

Plan is to depart Little Creek around 7 and check around Cape Henry and go from there. No idea on which way we will end up going, if nothing else we may end up back at the bridge for some C&r as well. Have a boat leaving out of Rudee that is supposed to give us conditions and reports from down that way as the day progresses.

Kevin, I'm crewed up and heading a little south to the structure right at the 3 mile line out from the golfball, then heading south from there - water is a little on the cold side up North. Boat is a Shamrock 270 CC - SSJULZ. I will keep in touch with you as we go. I scan all the the busy ch's on the radio.....

I was down at the boat all day today , I cancelled our trip again for today due to cold water temps and no fish, and as I suspected, I saw NO fish hit the dock today, Good luck to all that go out for a nice boat ride tomorrow, it was pretty out there, I ran Demetri's boat out for a run after working on it today, maybe a deep drop trip next week if the weather holds.

Just follow the fleet, they tore 'em up today , one hint is they MUST have been in NC, 'cause they were gaffin' the fish and it's illegal in Va waters, so head SOUTH>>>> !!!!!

Brian, if they are going to poach fish in the EEZ then they would probably just gaff them anyways whether VA or NC. The EEZ is not Virginia waters anyways. Interesting how many citations came from CH.

My back has decided we are not going tomorrow. It was fine today, until I went to Costco to pick up some heavy items. I can hardly get out of a chair right now.
