level wind reel: pull line of reel moving level wind from one side of reel to the other.....measure amount of line pulled off.......should be about 10 feet.......if you hear
"6 bars....8 bars...ect" that equates to 60', 80', ect. The levelwind making one pass=0ne bar.

If you have a conventional reel, measure the distance of the line that comes out each time the line keeper crosses the reel, and then determine the number of "bars" or each time it crosses. My Tekota's are about 10 feet for each time it crosses, so 4 bars out is about 40 feet, 11 bars 110 ft, etc. What kind of reels do you have? You can also measure it in your yard, and then cut the line and reattach forming a knot at your selected distances......Andy
