I need to do some trailer work which is MUCH faster with the boat off it. Anyone know if DNR would have a problem with dipping the boat for the day while doing some break work in the parking lot??

Chicken bone beach is deserted this time of year. I don't think there will be a problem.

It is very common to launch at sandy and do maintance work.Plenty of ramps so no one is blocked.

Just be sure to clean up the work area - don't leave rusted parts laying around.Good idea to bring a scrap of carpet to kneel or lay on.

But this way when I cut my knuckles on old rusty bolts I won't feel it and I won't bleed as the blood is all frozen.

I've done it at SP several times. Launched on one of the less used ramps, tied the boat up to the dock ....worked in the parting lot, and left no mess. No one said a word ... always did it before April
