Did not plan on fishing due to work schedule but things changed at the last minute so I called my friend Eric and off we go. We launched the boat around 0930 at Wallace and head East of the Highrise man what a crowd. We set up to drift eels with the rest of the crowd but we just were not getting bit. After two hours with not one run we decided it was time to find a spot with a little less traffic so we made a move and I am glad we did. Within ten minutes of lines in we hook up on the first fish and it felt like a good one. Fought the fish for about ten minutes and once we got it in the boat we saw just how big well over 48" long and fat my scales showed between 55-60 pounds. We made several more drifts with one short run that did not come tight and one more nice fish that was 45" long that was released for citation for Eric wish we could have gotten a picture but maybe next time. Back to the dock @ 1600 to weigh fish official score 51" long 59 pounds.
