Started the morning off about 745 out of LI. Decided to make the jog over to Cape Henry and run south so we didnt get beat up by the 4 footers too bad. Get the spread out by 815, slow troll headed south. Baits were chartreuse and white mojo's. NADA for about an hour. Short rod goes off.......Bluefish, Not what I had in mind. Changed the baits to different colors and even threw a few stretches in the mix, still nothing. Heard some chatter about birds workin down by the Ramada so we pick up and run. Same spread as before, same story as before. After trying everything we had in the boat EXCEPT the umbrellas the crew decided they were ready to go. We headed back to LI with only 1 bluefish in the box, no striper luck today for us......
