Eminent Brothers,
I've been trying to get an updated marine forcast for the area of the ocean where Capt Croakethead takes his Deep Droppers. I can get all the bay forcasts I could ever need, but; I can't seem to find the ocean forcast and sea conditions. It's killing me not to know if our trip on Saturday is a "go" or "no go" Please :helpsmilie:

John, your forecast is a carbon copy of our forecast to the cancelled trip on 2/16. Consider all your prep as a shakedown.:sweatdrop: BTW, Jim makes the call at noon on the day before.

I wouldn't lose all hope - Thursday and Friday look pretty bad, but who cares about them…… You are going Saturday and it doesn't look that horrible. Wait and see what happens. Good luck - I hope to make it out on the same trip at the end of the month.

Easy way to find marine weather:

Go to NOAA's National Weather Service website at http://nws.noaa.gov click on the map near where you're going. Click on the segment of the ocean where you'll be fishing. Voila ! Marine forecast.

Looks like Palm Beach will be lovely on Saturday

Guys I'm glad your not getting your hopes up too much but don't give up hope either. The forecast will keep changing between now and Friday at noon. Who knows we may get to go fishing but I wouldn't bet on it.

Sorry Chris but nothing better to do than armchar quarterback the forecast. If Sunday looked good I'd be hopeful but saturday is bracketed by two nasty days. I can't see getting a 14 hour window to fish in there. Of course no matter what I'll be ready. I've done 6-8 foot and its not the best but i can handle it. Another over that and I'll be:helpsmilie:

Eminent Brothers and fellow Deep Droppers,
I'll be waiting on pins and needles until Friday noon when Capt Croakerhead makes the call. All positive thoughts and no nag-a-tive waves. I forgot I have a motel reservation on Saturday night and I bet Capt Croakerhead does cancil the trip, he'll wait just long enough until it's too late to cancil my reservation......... Anything happening in VB this weekend???

Depends on where you are going but it read 15 knots and seas 3-4. That is for 20 miles of Wachapreague and CBBT.

This is a Naval wave height link. When you click on it your browser may flagit's content and pop ups. JUst keep clicking yes and so on.

I have found this to be the most trust worthy site for offshore forecasts out to 48 hours.

Graybeard the Colonial Inn will let you cancel a reservation with less than 48 hours notice if the captain cancels the trip no penalties. But you're not going to need to do that are you because we're going to go fishing. Think positive
