Does anyone have or know of someone that may have a piece of scrap starboard laying around. I would like to find a piece of 1/4 or 3/8 about (6"-8") inches X 5' I am trying to create some extra support under the canvas on my t-top so I can store my planer board up there. Right now the way it is set up is all the supports run front to back and and nothing across so the boards sit solely on the canvas. Thank you in advance!
Try using a cutting board. I have cut up plenty of my wife’s cutting boards for small starbord pieces. They are cheaper than buying a whole piece from WM.
if you need a larger piece try E bay, I bought some the other month and was able to get a custom cut.
Not sure where you are located but you could try calling Total Plastics on Pulaski Hwy. They sell Starboard and may have some scrap laying around. I just bought 2 pieces of 3/8" from there to mount electronics on. Be a hell of a lot cheaper then buying a full sheet.
Go to a lumber yard and get a piece of the synthetic like you'd use for a soffit on rafters......comes in 6 or 8 width by 8 or more long. Not as pretty as Starboard but does the same job at a fraction of the cost.
If you prefer Starboard, then contact Keith Fletcher at Marinetime Plastics. I have bought scrap Starboard from them. They are located at 110 Severn Avenue, in the Eastport area of Annapolis, Md.21403. Phone number is 410-263-4424, Fax # 410-263-0475. Web address is marinetimeplastics@comcast.net.
