Memorial weekend, our 60 Yamaha took a **** on us. One of the oil injection lines rubbed on the flywheel wearing a hole in it and starved 1 cylinder for oil. We borrowed a little 5 hp tiller steer in the hopes of still being able to crab while we saved our nickles and dimes for a new motor. The 5 hp moves us at 5.5 mph so we can still crab as long as we don't go too far from home.

We laid out 20 traps in a creek off the Severn baited with a mix of chicken necks and white perch. Depths ranged from 4-12 ft. In 3.5 hours we managed to squeeze out 14 6"+ crabs with about as many that were a curly hair short of 5". Neither bait seemed to do better than the other and most of the crabs came from the 6-8' range.
