FB_IMG_1518359678556.jpg This is a picture of a shoal bass caught on Lake Lanier last Saturday Feb. 3 ,in 43 deg.air temps . Shoal Bass are more frequently caught on the Upper Chattahoochee River ( Above Lake Lanier) or below Bufford Dam ( below Lake Lanier) Lake Lanier is a dammed up portion of the Chattahoochee River. It is believed by some that a Shoal Bass is a cross between a Smallmouth and a Largemouth or Spotted Bass. The average size caught in the River system is usually around 12 - 16in. and are most common in the upper Hooch in the summer where they seek the cooler waters of the river where fishermen can wade fish for them
