A friend of my son caught a snakehead in our marina off the South River a few days ago. I'm not surprised I just have not heard any reports they were in the South River yet.

Heard of a few last year in crab pots off docks in South river.

Bad to see such a big one.

What Marina are you in?....... Gary
Between the 2 bridges. Unlike the Severn, the South river does not have a lot of fresh
water streams flowing in (Bacon ridge and Broadwater creek) so seems like less ideal habitat. Water where caught is pretty brackish.

I hooked one in a creek downstream from the Rt 2 bridge last month. The fish hit a perch spinnerbait, rose to the surface and looked at me, then shook its head to throw the lure, and splashed me with its tail.

They've been catching them in the Magothy, Severn and South river this year.
