Does anyone know what week the trophy Rock will dip into the Solomons area. It should be the third or fourth week in November.

Alot hinges on the water temps. and the amount of big baitfish around.

Most years- a few (3-4 ) early big fish are caught late oct/early Nov. but the main school does not show up until around Thanksgiving.

The MSSA tournament is Nov. 15/16th - this should give a good idea how many big Rock are around. The fishermen will be dragging big lures.

These fish can cover 10-20 miles in a day so the "bite" can go from 1-2 fishg to 10-20 fish in a day or two .

PLO/Smith Point often sees them first before Solomons gets hot.

Hang in there- just 2-4 more weeks .

I'll be dragging big baits this Saturday out of Solomons with LTJ'ing as a backup. Last week was a skunk on the big baits, but I'm hoping that by now the temp dropped that extra 1.5 degrees to the magical 55 degree mark.

Like Skip said, there are probably some stragglers already here and there, but the bulk of them will probably be here in about 2-3 weeks.

Hey, Whackmaster, where was that 50 incher caught?
