Started at the Fingers Saturday around birds and porpoise & had one knockdown in an hours troll when I got a call from George on the Friendship who was hooked up in the 58 degree water 11 miles further out. Ran to George to find bluefins busting under birds. We had good fishing with about 7 or 8 bites: pulling 2 off, releasing 3 and keeping 1. Fish were around 130 lbs on average. Had 3 planer bites, one drifter bite and the rest on top. Birds were a PIA costing us a lot of time and bait. Had a great crew w/ Spud running the pit. Everyone (Kevin, Dougie, Brian, Spud and even me) had a turn on the rod. Many Thanks George.

Pretty work Dave and crew. You are making me want to get back in the saddle and give it another try. This weekend is looking doable so far (I know it can and will change though). Sure would like an oppornity to spend the night in the deep and try some chunking but finding a weather break this time of year is tough.

Thats funny. Maybe someday I will have to come down for a pee from the flybridge. Nice work. You should get that boat down to OI this spring.

Another great report. I spent the last part of my day this past Sun looking in the colder stuff for a stray. I'm glad to hear a few are comming down. Maybe they will hang out again this winter & give us some other options out there. Pretty work Dave & crew. Glad you got to be the cranker also for a change Dave.:fishing2:
