I practiced tying that knot here at home one day and found it to be pretty easy to tie once you get the hang of it. Practicing without to many adult beverages also helped.:)

I have recently had 10 x 10s untie on me and lost either lures or fish and lures. I thought I had tied them correctly.

And they untied slowly, a couple times I was able to grab the line as it untied and haul in the leader and lure..

I like both 10x and unit/uni I am using uni/uni now until I get more confident with 10x...

Hint!

The 10x10 is MUCH easier to tie if the braid has some time on it, when it is new and stiff I have a heck of a time getting the knot correct. I will chew on the end to soften it up a bit, seems to help. With limp line, it's pretty easy, and I have never had a failure. A snagged lure will break at the lure, generally.
