Ice breakers are like huge blocks built of stone located right off the wharf at Battery Park in the heart of old (historic) New Castle, and April is probably the best time to be there.

I was heading up 495 to the Tower Theater on Sat evening and noticed those birds too.....in the river, not the dump. And yes, they were pounding something.
