Three Maryland men have been charged with selling crabs without a license.

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources Police announced the charges Wednesday against the Eastern Shore men for selling crabs harvested between June and September.

Natural Resources Police say Stephen Mark Mullikin of Cambridge, Wesley Matthew Finneyfrock, of St. Michaels, and William Christopher Bradley, also of St. Michaels, face multiple counts of selling crabs without a license and illegal possession of female crabs. Finneyfrock and Bradley are also charged with possession of undersize hard crabs.

A Jan. 20 trial date was scheduled for Mullikin. Trials for Finneyfrock and Bradley are scheduled Feb. 17. All three will be tried in Talbot County District Court

Selling crabs without the necessary license and illegal possesion of female crabs sounds an awful lot like a recreational crabber caught doing the no no!

Shame the case is not being held in Annapolis.
Thought DNR cases were going to be tried there.

Seen far too many slap on the wrist sentences handed down by county judges - good ole boy network.

I see recs doing this all the time, undersized males and females both. Really need to crack down on them, it ruins it for all of us.

Report them recs and stop complaining. If you see something illegal, step up to the plate and do the right thing. I see people on the side of the road selling crabs. Can't tell if their illegal or not.

George, I have busted hundreds of ground hogs but never been paid to do it. Just appreciate the opportunity and eat a few once in a while. Same with the crop damage permits on deer. Hope you're doing well George.........Gary

It's rather simple to identify commercial sales trucks. We must have our TFL or LCC # on the truck in visible fashion. It's not the stands you have to worry about its the people that sell to thier nieghbors and such.
