ANY TF'RS DOING ANYTHING W/ THE STRIPER RUN IN THE DEL(COASTLINE) AREA??? WE'RE TRYING TO CATCH "BUBBA" BUT MOST HAVE BEEN 33-38" RANGE..... OUR "HOTSPOT" NOW SEEMS TO BE AT THE CAROLINA LINE...
Another site had reports of small spoons and sassy shads catching a fair amount of undersized fish in Indian River Inlet. Nothing to bring back but good activity for January.

Someone posted a report on the Chesapeake board on fishing the rips off of Cape May on a charter boat last week. They caught over 40 stripers, but none in the Bubba range...
Said he posted there because this board is dead [grin]!
YEP! BUT-- IT SEEMS THAT CAPE HENRY LITE ACTION'S PICKING UP, FINALLY!! USUALLY WE CAN JUDGE A LITTLE BETTER IF WE KNOW IF THE "BITE" OF BUBBA'S HAS BEEN OFF THE DEL. COAST, THEN IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TWO OR THREE DAYS WHEN WE CAN EXPECT THE SAME IN OUR AREA..
Fished two days last week just south of you, same senario found the birds but the fish were the same size. Heard of a supposed big fish bite today (50-60lb fish) between chincoteague and Watchapreague. Waiting for definite confirmation.
Update on the research. A couple of responses to big fish between Chincoteague and wachapreague. The big fish have been there mixed reports on where!!!! Deductive reason would lead to believe from 9-16 miles, winterquarter seems to be the most reasonable conclusion or therabouts. Find the birds and you win! Good luck
Sorry for the delay. We headed out of Greenbackville last thurs and traveled 15-17 miles south. There they were, more birds that imaginable and substantial rockfish, could have caught all day but just caught our limit and left. 4 fish exceeded 30 lbs.
