Anyone know a good area to catch Spot near the Magothy / Podickery Point / Sandy Point right now?

I’m using fishbites in 20-25 feet of 66 degree water, catching 1 like every 2-3 hours. Tried past 3 days. What am I doing wrong fellas?

thanks in advance!

Likely nothing your doing wrong. Surface maybe 66 but bottom isn’t and it’s abnormally colder this spring. Have you tried Tolley’s?
If I knew exactness buddy I would PM you. I will be out this coming week and keep you in mind.
May have to buy them, I just don’t know.

Pass a kind deed forward because none of us got here by ourselves.

This time of year it is feast or famine with Spot it seems.

Thursday - I and other boats caught plenty. Friday only a couple.

I had them in 14 to 20 feet. It pays to move a lot - 10 to 15 minutes is plenty if Spot are around.

Doesn't the fishbites bag say it works in water 70+ degrees water? Switch to bloodworm
We caught some on Saturday using lug worms purchased at Anglers. They were out of their $20 bloodworms. We were just south of the bay bridge in 24' of water.

Bloodworms are 20 bucks now !! Oh my is that a dozen ? How long will they keep, in the fridge. If you dont use all. Seems like could just use lug worms or night crawlers or fish bites. To get a few spot to catch a few rock. Or just use artifical.
