Nights are much colder than last week.Water temps dropped considerably and made for a slow bite this Sunday. 3 carp hooked and two landed. Not bad for a winter day.
Had the whole crew there with 9 rods out.
It was a fun day.. As the sun went down it got plenty cold.

Do you pre chum the area ?

I used to fish a few spots for Carp and tried to throw few handfuls of canned corn in area few days before fishing.

Seemed to really help.

Interesting idea.
I use a wiffle ball bat with end cut off. Put rag in end so about one inch was left open.
Would swing it and corn went in nice arc over fishing area.
Overhead swing would get it out farther.

Great idea.
I do chum lightly, but usually a baseball sized lump I can toss, then cast baits around it.

In the 70s, I'd punch nail holes thru a couple cans of whole corn and lob them in the hole I was going to fish the next morning.

Same with Alpo for catfish holes, lol.
