Anyone know what might be causing the motor to turn over, catch, then die?
It is a 70hp suzuki 4 stroke and sometimes it will catch and run just fine.
I have done the following:
1) checked kill switch
2) changed gas
3) gapped and changed plugs
4) Changed batteries

Thanks for your help.

BTW went to lapidum on sat morning and fished all around. Water was really flowing hard, drifted at 2.5-3.5kt. Decided to try drifting cut herring, then trolling up in the rocks, tried for shad, and casting into the banks for bass, then finally as the current slowed we tried trolling again and picked up a few nice rock.

Might want to call the guys at Shamrock Marine in Pasadena (Bodkin Creek). I used to have a 75 HP oil injected Suzuki, and those guys were great. They are an authorized Suzuki dealer/repair establishment, and they are top notch.

If you're near Havre de Grace try HP Marine in town, 410-939-9221. They're Suzuki dealers also..inside Tidewater Marina,,,end of Bourbon Street...You can come in by water too if need arises....CUJO
