I put in at the private marina across from the public ramp on the chesterfield side- the one with the restaurant. It was very windy for my 14 smokercraft, but I covered alot of water. Wish I could report catching, but can only report fishing. I hooked into something near the dam down deep trolling a 6" storm, but it came off. I went up the lake and used the wind to drift troll back, bouncing a storm deep, dragging a rattletrap in the middle, and a small buctail shallow. Marked alot of fish, but could land none.
I the drove around the lake, scouting the appomattox, the public landing, and two private campsites/landings further up the Dinwiddie side. I got turned around on 623 trying to find a way to 153, wound up on 460. Pretty country, and nice folks along the way. Gonna try again this Sunday weather permitting.
Colonel, I would b-mail you, but I'm not savvy in how to on this new site yet. It would be great if the Tidal Fish guys would post a how-to clinic.
