Left Waldens this morning & was immediately met with some rough stuff which had no direction whatsoever. Made for ann interesting run up the bay. The plan was to go north to 62-64 and fish since there was a good bite up there Fri. We got there by 7:45 & joined about 60 or so other boats. There were plenty of marks but not much bait. The few reports we heard of fish cought were small, we didn't get a knockdown. After 2.5 hours of that we ran south to the upper end of the cut & dropped the baits again. 15 minutes into that run we got our first, the fattest 36 incher I've ever laid eyes on took a purple striped stretch 25. An hour later we picked up a second, 37" this time & she liked the chartuse umbrella. Another hour goes by and we boated our 3rd, a healthy 28" who needed our white umbrella.
All fish were thick with sea lice & all came from the middle of the column. Hopefully they will school up soon.
