A buddy of mine just got back from south fl. He was visiting his folks and out fishing with his dad when he noticed that the
price of a saltwater boat fishing licenes was, he said in the hundreds of dollars. Not exactly sure he said but he told me
that he thought it was around 4 to 5 hundred bucks, said he has the paper work at home [here in virginia] and would show it to me later. I can't believe it, here we pay 38 bucks a year and fish-
ermen are screaming about that. I believe if that is the case
you fellows need to string JEB BUSH up buy his ball$.

Your friend is somewhat correct.
The license he is speaking of in Florida is a commercial/for hire license (Charter boats, light tackle guides, flats guides etc).

A $200 license covers 4 anglers plus the captain or
A $400 license covers 6 anglers plus the captain and mate.

There is no license available that covers all the anglers on the boat for the recreational angler like in MD, VA and other states.
