This was my first year at the Tri-State show. I loved it, except for one thing...I spent 50% more than my budget going in! Guess that just shows how great I thought the show was.
I enjoyed seeing a bunch of old friends, meeting in person some other folks I know from online here, and poking through the used gear tables....my favorites! Well done, Tri-State! Can't wait to try out some of my new lures and gear I bought. Heck, I can't wait to try out my OLD gear!

Tri-State continually out does themselves on every event. Whether it's the Flea Market, the Fishing Tournament or just plain ol' down right good customer service - you can bet it will be done right. They are the best at what they do.

I have a couple specific thanks:

First - Stonewall, thanks for the spoons, I'm gonna trade 1 to a buddy in return for a lesson on how to tear down and rehab a penn reel - totally worth it.

Second - I bought a Penn reel from who I think was Capt. Hank Devito (sorry, I don't know everyone in the fishing community right yet) but someone from the table ran me down like 10 minutes later to give me the reel clamp that I didn't grab. That was pretty cool because I didn't even think it was included, thanks.

A great show overall - the highlight was definitely the $1 parachutes.

We didn't get there until 130 when things were starting to wind down, but got to say hi to Capt Morgan, grab a handful of gotchas from Tylers, and pick up the book Voices of the Chesapeake which looks pretty good. Also got to eyeball that Parker 23 w/the second steering station out back - sweeeet! Good times, great show. Andy

I started with a feesh'in buddy at HH for breakfast, and then over to TS for the show. I was fairly good this year...only bought 100 BKDs, 4 of those spoon handles made into something like a TA spoon, and 4 heavy-metal jigs from Specialized Baits.

Walked on the new Parker 34' and was wishing I could win the lotto.

Peeked around the corner to see my boat in the shop bay getting ready for service. She looked comfy inside...better than what she gets at Solomons all year long.

And yes, TS, as always, did a great job of hosting this event again. I could skip all the other shows, but wouldn't miss the breakfast at HH, and the comradre of the TidalFish crowd.

I found some great looking jigs, and I bought them all so I can brag every time I catch a fish on one because no one else has one like it! :D

Caught up with a lot of friends, met some new ones.

Climbed on a 25cc Grady.

Found out Cap'n George talks better than he types (Hills of Roane County on the way, sir). ;-)

Found out Zam is a real person.

It was a good show as usual. Nice seeing everybody but I'm sure I still missed saying hello to some people. Left about 10:30 am because I had some things to do at home. I didn't look at any boats and so neglected to say hi to Ron. Meant to stop by Dave's BBQ stand to check out the sauce but didn't. Got home tonight and discovered a blister on my toe from being on my feet so long today! :eek2: Nevertheless I had a real good time! BTW, did you sell all your charts John?

Thanks to all the guys that stopped by my table and said Hi it was good seeing all the guys and meeting a few new others. Tri-State does a great job and thanks go out to Dawn for all the work she did but did you have to put me beside of Capt. Skip. :D I didn’t get any rod orders but a lot of guys took my card so maybe some phone calls will be in the future. By the way Capt. Wayne Morgan is the proud owner of a one of a kind “Marble” Backyard Custom Rod, sorry about the gimbal Wayne that's what happens when your rushed to get things done and let me know how that rod does.

Eminent Brothers,
I feel like an ers has past because I missed my first Tri-State Flea market since it's inception some years ago. We had some real termoil in the house that precluded my presence. Seems like we have a neighbor that HATES SWMBO's dog Lucky (lab & pit mix) and filed charges with the County Animal Control agancy. So Friday evening we had a visit from an Animal Control Officer who served SWMBO with a civil citation for not adequatly controlling her dog. I spent the rst of the evening and most of Saturday morning trying to calm down Bludworm (now 15 year old son) and trying to talk some sence into SWMBO, who wanted to bring the dog to the ASPCA. Both Lucky and the nasty neighbor are still with us and now the fun really begins..

Capt. George, no matter what the situation you always have great words of wisdom and unique solutions to any problem. Have you considered becoming a Consultant when you decide to hang up your Capt.s hat?? Great seeing you at Tri State yesterday and I'm sure we'll run into each other often "Out Front"

Good Times at Tri-State

Had a good time again at the Tri-State Flea Market but did miss seeing the Gray One and his son.
Didn't see Shawn I think he stayed down near the food area.
Spoke to Capt. Richie Gains and Capt. Skip plus a few others but didn't see some of the old group that are normally their. (Capt.Tryte) had to go fishing and then had the nerve to complain about not catching. Life is hard Butch but I'm glad you can take it buy the horns..........lol. Also missed Bradon and the Tidal Fish booth plus the Wish-A-Fish gang.
Times are getting tough maybe next year.
Still enjoyed ourselves.
