Hey guys hows it going? Im new to tidal fish and was looking for yalls opinions on two GPS/sonar combo units. I have an 18 ft c-hawk boat that i use to fish pretty much everywhere from the upper james river to the eastren shore. Just got some new power installed in the form of a 90 yamaha 4-stroke and was looking at either a lowrance lms 527c or one of the new lowrance hds-5 units If anybody has one of these units there thoughts on it would be greatly appreaciated. NO FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE, But I do have one of the 8" HDS models on order.
Not due out until March. I have broadband sonar now. I believe the way of the
future for recreational boaters. Even rumors of a side scan transducer for the
HDS units by this summer.
