Mattawoman Creek down in Southern Maryland is one of my favorite places to paddle in Maryland. It's an awesome fishery and an important spawning ground for several migratory fish. Acres of the watershed are threatened to be destroyed by pavement of a four-lane divided highway through the heart of the Mattawoman Creek watershed. Click on the link below to take action to stop the cross county connector.

Will do. Thanks for the heads up, Rod. Have you been out much lately?

Bill, last time I was out was about a month ago on the Severn River. Nothing to write home about, just a couple dink stripers and a bluefish. I won't be able to make it out the next couple of weekends. A friend of mine is coming in town the weekend of Nov. 15th and we plan on hitting the Magothy in the canoe for some pickerel. You're welcome to join us that weekend for some pickerel fishing.

Thanks Rod

I was on Mattawoman last winter/spring in my yak and it is a remarkable resource. Thanks for bringing this to the attention of the board. S.T.
