Posted a question a few weeks ago, didn't get nay feedback but wanted to try again. Planning on installing an Airmar B60 through hull transducer for Lowrance on my 20' Grady. Hoping to get some feedback from anybody currently using the B60. It is a flush mount tranducer pre-tilted either 12 or 20 degrees so it flush mounts (3/16" reveal for flange). My boat is a 15-16 degree deadrise. Main thing I am worried about is if the difference between my 16 degree deadrise and the 20 degree pre-tilt 9recemmended for 16-24 degree boats) will have any noticable effect on my fish arches etc.. Any input appreciated.

The tilted element transducer work great. I have installed them on sevral boats and held bottom up to 65MPH. About the deadrise and which to get. Make sure you check the angle on you hull where you are planning to mount the ducer. If grady say your deadrise is 16 that may be at the transom or an avg. of the hul. I think you will fine that your closer to 20 than you think.

Thanks for the info, I was told that the through hull on my boat should be within reason as far towards the stern as possible. (get it away from the strakes on some smooth bottom)
I measured the dead rise at the lowest point of the hull at the stern). The B60 I guess is a newer product. I haven't seen much in the way of product reviews by guys who fish alot.
I would love to hear from guys who have it (or one like it) that fish a lot and are happy , even better are 4 degrees off w/no problem Thanks again
