Ran south all the way to Duck and found thousands of gannets diving on bunker at multiple locations, but no meat for the box. Nice schools of bait off False Cape, state line, Corolla, Pine Island and Duck Pier. Even found gannets diving on large bunker on the 3 mile line off Dam Neck. Tried inshore out to 3 miles. Having pizza for the family dinner tonight.

The good news is that we saw about ten humbacks. One huge one with a calf in tow crossed right behind the boat within 100 yards! I've been sighting whales for the last two months but nothing as big or close as today's encounter.

Yardbird,

Skunk aye ;-( I think those birds work for the oil companies!

We had Striper last night, albeit from a few weekends ago, when the big ones were close to CH/Ramada. Gotta love it when the CFO already has one thawing out when you come home, but I enjoy [way too much] pizza when the opportunity presents itself.

I'm w/ you Jamie, ready for the Cobes and the Mako round-up in a few months.
See ya on the water.
Evan.
