Left the Hole in the Wall at 7:00 and headed for Wolf Trap. Marked some fish and there was a lot of grass in the water. Picked up and went to Cape Charles and put in. Ended up with one 36" and one 31" we threw back. Saw several boats catching fish that were elling. Not a bad day considering the forcast. Fish were caught in 100' of water or more on white shads with mojo's. Good luck to all.

T-Bear - you always catch fish! The last two trips to Cape Charles I was skunked with eels along with a lot of others. It's been a tough season for many according to the posts I've read. In years past I've always seen a ton of bait balls on my way back from St. Charles area, but this year has been slim pickins. I'm still going to give it a few more shots before I put the boat up for the winter. Thanks for the report.

Nothing Like

8-9 mile out of the Hole in The Wall straight run to 42, you can do it in your sleep. I'm in the high and dry too, and Cape Charles and the bridge are o so reachable on a day run. When it blows, the back of the Island there are trout to be found too! I moved to Morningstar as well one owner ago as I got tired of running 17 miles one way to the cell and back every time I went. I miss Chet's steady hand and great service at DYC though. Now all I need is a little Whaler for the quiet water.
