Tried to answer your email question using two different emails furnished with your TF email. You may want to check to see if you are set up for receiving messages.

I can answer you question here because it is no secret. The plug in the pic you inquired about is a six inch custom balsa plug with a 6" tail. It provides a big high floating bait for stripers. The balsa is coated with a number of coats of a hard clear finish.

A gentleman from Lancaster adapted the plug from a custom striper plug made in New England. He was kind enough to give me several and the plugs have been copied by LesPA, Simon, Stuffer, Don P and others. All have had great success catching big stripers on the surface. The plug is not really a popper but more of a splasher. You can pull it straight and create a little splash and a wake or you can walk the dog with it.
