I took the cast net and minnow trap and went to the upper end of a creek off the bay. I set the trap out in a beaver pond and then went downstream to a hole and threw the cast net. I did not get any minnows at all in the pond but I got enough minnows downstream for a trip or two. I had a lot of small blue gill minnows from 1 to 1 1/2 inches. The perch eat them like potato chips! It was supposed to be just after high tide, but the wind had the water pushed way out. Local creeks are still muddy. Hope they clear up by Monday.
