Headed out today on the Tred Avon out of Bellevue. Boy did it get windy!!

Found some shelter in a creek upriver from the ramp and crabbed 22 traps in 8-11 feet of water. Crabbed 3 hours and ended up with 50 exactly. Caught a million little ones and about 2 dozen sooks mixed in with the keepers. Hope all those females have lots of babies for next spring.
Like Burchbeer said, I saw a lot of whities. I guess they shed last week in that warm weather spell and full moon. I actually threw back several legal size jimmies that were just too light.
All in all, a pretty fall day to be out with lots of geese flying over and hot steamed crabs for dinner. I'll probably give them one more try before it gets too cold.
Water was 62-63 degrees according to my depthfinder.

CurlyT,

Glad you confirmed my observations.
I will again try this weekend. Wx does look good though.

Thanks for your report and confirmation of what I have also seen recently.

DB:rolleyes:
