Does that work? Only when the moon is bright? Only people who don't want to catch fish do it? Only with glow-in-the-dark lures?

That, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Anchor at the HR and eel..... or cast around the pilings ......or troll around the light line of the CBBT at night. Trolling in open water at night I'd say is a waist of time. Good luck and Merry Christmas.

I have trolled Cape Henry after dark and have caught fish. Usually it was because we got out there late, didn't have a fish yet and decided to just keep going to see if you can catch a fish trolling after dark. Both times we caught, but it was only an hour or two after it got dark. We might have just been lucky, but the fish were there and showed up for a short window (30 to 45 minute bite).

There were a couple of other boats out there with us each time. Don't know if they planned it that way because they know something or just persistant like we were. All fish hit stretches, nothing on the bottom. Might mean they stay higher in the water column at night. Moon was out each time but not a full moon.
