I am trying and have been trying to find a lure a gentleman named Mike from near the bay bridge let me use in Hatteras last year right after picking up his new Regulator. It is a lure used for rigging ballyhoo, that has a 7/0 or 8/0 j hook on the end of a 150 lb chain. (think ceiling fan pull but bigger) At the other end the chain is a two piece head that secures the chain. The head kind of looks like a Moldcraft "little bird". Also, one other thing is that he told me he got them at a tackle shop somewhere near the Bay Bridge. These lures are he11 on dolphin. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, can't remember the name but I did look at them there. One model was weighted and other wasn't. I had never saw them before. Were they easy to use?

Man, weight and not, that is it !!!!!!! They are VERY easy to use. You break of the bill, run the rigging tool (wire with a loop on the end) in the bill, out the anal vent, hook it to the chain and pull. The J part of the hook is all that sticks out of vent. Then you adjust and secure the chain to the "head" and go. It is one of the easiest offshore lures I've ever used. Thanks again.
