I, old bird and Mary hit there yesterday afternoon, Goergie, Pearle and Capt. Wayne was very helpfull answering my questions. I agree on the chutes, very good stuff. Picked up some 6 dollar scotty clips with a caribeaner attached. The deal of the day was a Penn Captiva cll4000 for 30 bucks. I know, many here will say bad things about them, but I have used two for the last few years on slammer rods, they have done well for me live lining. At thirty bucks, I could not help myself.
I might go back and grab a few 15-30lb. Shimano Tallus rods on the rack, no gimble, but would make great light board rods.

Me and Benny(emptypockets) made the trip today and bought a few things. Its a long trip but we wanted to support Georgie in this slump as I don't want him to go anywhere. Georgie has been busy tying as chutes in every color combination, head style and weight were hanging everywhere there was room. As always, it was great chat'n with Wayne as he is my hero:rolleyes::D...................
I guess my only other excursion will be the Pasadina show to pick up the things I forgot to get today.:))

Thanks to all who stopped in this weekend whether to make purchases or just talk fishing. We will be back in the store next weekend (17th & 18th) from 8:00 am till 4:00 pm if you couldn't make it down this weekend.
If you want any special painted parachutes now is the time to order and they will be ready for you to pick up at a later show or shipped to your door.

Wayne, It sure was nice finally meeting you in person and speaking with you for a few minutes on Saturday. I've passed you in the creek probably a 100 times either coming or going. Going to try to stop by again next weekend.

Stopped in on Sat and really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and fishing talk. Georgie and I shared some lure making tricks and I got a couple of the soon to be famous purple flaky heads(smilin Bill style). Had a cup of coffee and talked more fishing. Georgie's shop was a real cool place. Great price on straight hair. Picked up 3 hanks. Cap Morgan and I shared some tactics and I talked w "2 many boats" for a while...all good.

As others have said, go to Tylers. We dont' want him to go anywhere. He is one of the friendliest, nicest guys around. He is very fair with his prices and especially now. I also picked up two liveline reels. For $29 even if not the fanciest reel on my boat, who cares. I wish I had more spending money as I would purchase some chutes, bucktails too. He has an awesome selection. As many have said. If he doesn't carry it, you don't need it. Plus, you get Wayne to chat with. He is a great captain and doesn't mind sharing any trade secrets. I could hang out with those guys all day once they open a bar in there :)
