I am fairly new to the trolling for striper club and wondered what was the best way to rig them. Should they be run using inline sinkers or planers? Sorry for sounding so dumb, but wanna try to get it right.

My favorite ways to rig them are with a 3-way/Mojo rig for the bottom of the water column and with an inline
sinker for the shallower depths. Be sure to use at least 100# leaders and Coastlock snap swivels.
It's not uncommon to get multiple Big Stripers on an Umbrella Rig!

We troll most of ours with no weight at all. Some of our biggest stripers are caught near the surface. We also make smaller umbrella's that are made to troll behind mojos on the bottom. These have less drag and still catch the big ones without the fight of all the weight.

Inline sinkers/ downriggers/ or planer boards (on the surface). I would think the drag with a diving planer and an umbrella would be a whole lot.
