I have never fished in VB and I am trying to put together a couple of striper charters in that area and was hoping for some recommendations of some quality capitains. We would like to go some time this month. I was also wondering if most captains come right back to the dock once a limit is caught or do they do catch and release after. Some of my experiences in Maryland is they come back right away even if only out an hour. I would like to get 6 hours of fishing for 6 hours of pay, not 1 hour of fishing for 6 hours of pay. Any references would be appreciated, thanks, greg

We have always had good luck with Greg Buckner of Miss Susie Charters. We just got back from two days down there and limited out both days (16 fish). Had a great time. He is very knowledgeable, personable, and once he knows your capabilities allows you to help put out rods, bring in fish etc. You can be as active as you want or just reel in the fish. He runs the Fin Finder, a 46' Markely, down in VA Beach but I think he is booked up for January and only had a few trips left in February. So if you want to go with him better call quick.
