SALISBURY - Pictures are leaving one woman with anything but a smile.

Kathy Mendoza of Salisbury says workers at the Fruitland Wal-Mart refused to release photos she took because they said they looked too professional.

Mendoza said she took all of the pictures with a digital camera she bought at Wal-Mart. She says she even uses a computer program bought from Wal-Mart to dress them up.

"I told them, 'I'm not going to start taking bad pictures just to appease you,'" Mendoza said. "If I keep running into these problems with my photos, it won't benefit me to go there at all."

Wal-Mart sent WBOC a statement saying its photo centers will not copy professional photos without a written release as well as any photos that appear to be taken by a professional.
